Three layers, one computation core
Everything we build runs on the same engine: a verified ephemeris, a structured model of traditional rule systems, and hardware designed to stay offline.
Computation core
A true-solar-time ephemeris engine plus a structured model of BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Vedic rule sets. The same engine drives our products and the public UCP library.
Companion hardware
Destiny Box, Destiny Beads and SoulPendant. The wearable pieces use passive NFC — no battery, no radio, no telemetry.
Guided practice
The YuanYu app produces multi-system chart reports and daily guidance, with every calculation kept auditable and reproducible.
Each property attacks the same problem from a different layer: the application, the operating system, the data format — and the network that carries them when there is none.
UCP is an open standard for keeping cultural calendars in sync without intercalation drift. The reference implementation is a Node.js library, MIT licensed and free forever.
Blockode Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian technology company. We take rule-based knowledge systems that have been maintained by hand for centuries — BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Vedic astrology, the Chinese calendar — and turn them into software that can be inspected, tested and shipped.
How a chart is actually computed
Same input, same output. Every correction and rule source is shown, so you can audit the result instead of trusting it.
Correct the birth data
Geocoding, time zone and the equation of time are resolved into true solar time. Every correction is listed — nothing is buried in a black box.
Run the rule systems
BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Vedic and Western charts are computed in parallel, and each rule traces back to a named classical source.
Read it as guidance
Cross-system results are compared and reported as tendencies, with the disagreements left visible. No single fatalistic verdict.

Developers — UCP engine
The Unified Calendar Protocol is our open calendar engine: one UTC timestamp decoded into seven calendar systems, MIT licensed on npm and GitHub. Hosted endpoints for chart calculation and holiday data are in development.

We are building the computation layer for traditional knowledge systems — a market still served mostly by manual calculation and paper almanacs. If you want the technical case rather than the pitch, read the whitepaper.
Frequently asked questions
01What kind of company is Blockode?
Blockode is a technology company working on traditional knowledge systems. We formalize BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Vedic astrology into verifiable algorithms, then ship them as products, hardware and an API. We are not in the business of selling mystery — every output can be traced back to an input and a rule.
02How is YuanYu different from other astrology apps?
Most apps cast charts from administrative clock time, which can be off by 30 to 60 minutes once longitude and the equation of time are accounted for — enough to move an hour pillar or a palace. YuanYu corrects to true solar time first, then cross-checks across several systems and keeps the source for each rule.
03Do the hardware pieces need charging or an internet connection?
No. Destiny Beads and SoulPendant use passive NFC and are read only when they touch a phone: no battery, no radio, no background telemetry. Destiny Box is a low-power desktop device that also works offline.
04What is xHunOS?
xHunOS is an independent operating-system research project in the lineage of TempleOS: single-author, transparent, no telemetry. Its design direction is bare-metal RISC-V, a fixed-width 16-bit Hanzi character model and deterministic offline entropy. It is in development, and its published figures are design targets, not shipped specifications.
05Can these tools predict the future?
No. The I-Ching describes change, not fixed outcomes. We output probabilities and tendencies to inform a decision, never to replace it. YuanYu is a tool for cultural study and self-reflection and does not provide medical, legal, financial or religious advice.
06What is xMesh (玄孔)?
xMesh is our networkless infrastructure project: a LoRa mesh that moves small packets between devices where cellular and Wi-Fi coverage is absent or untrusted. It is designed to be run by independent node operators — a DePIN model — rather than a single carrier, with a token model under research for rewarding them. No token has been issued or sold and no commercial network is running; both the network and the economics are design work at this stage.
Ancient systems, running on modern silicon.
Run a free chart, read the xHunOS architecture, or integrate the UCP API. Every calculation is open to inspection — that is the entire point.
